If you and your family are looking for a place to celebrate the 4th of July, come check out what the city of Vista has to offer! For over 45 years, Vista’s Independence Day Celebration has thrilled audiences and lit of the night sky! This year is no exception as the yearly event returns to the gorgeous Moonlight Ampitheatre in Brengle Terrace Park!

Honorary Ceremony at the Moonlight Ampitheatre

As part of the 4th of July celebration, the city of Vista will be honoring three local military heroes. This year’s honorees are: Pete Peterson (United States Marine Corps), Natalie Marchetti (United States Army), and Jay (Huel) Oldham (United States Air Force). There will be an honorary ceremony on the stage and a military salute at 7:15pm to recognize their brave efforts and service to their country.

The fabulous Mar Dels will be performing on the stage of the Moonlight Ampitheatre at 7:35pm after the military salute. This popular seven-piece group has performed renditions of your favorite songs from the 40’s all the way to the 90’s. They put on a great show and always get the crowd dancing with covers of hits by Elvis, Buddy Holly, Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, The Doors, The Stones, The B-52’s and more! Don’t miss it!

Vista’s “Light Up the Night Dinner”

Along with all the fun celebrations on July 4th, there will also be a Patriotic BBQ Buffet held at the Moonlight Amphitheatre’s renowned Artisan’s Cafe. This event will start at 6:30pm and aims to raise money to support the City of Vista’s events for the fourth of July. Guests at the BBQ will feast on smoked pulled pork brisket, BBQ chicken, potato salad, bakes beans and much more! Tickets for the dinner are $60 for adults and $40 for kids, ages 10 and under.
